How do you guys protect the hard bags when they aren't on the bike? Would it be possible to get a set of mounts that go on the bike and mount to a wall? Currently I have them sitting on a towel on the floor but due to limited space when the car is in the garage I have to move them when I want to use the car. Dont want them on the floor up front so I dont crush them.
I normally don't have my bags off, except when washing or working on the bike. I know its only a matter of time before they get damaged or dinged up having to lay them on a towel. To kill some time this winter I put this rack together(for $28) to have a solid, off the ground place to hang the bags when I do have them off. The rack will also make it easy to wash and wax them.
I never run with mine off.....Then again, I'm not trying to make up for any lack of manlinesses either hehehe
LMAO, if you were trying to make it up for it, you sure couldn't do it with our bags.
Hey, last time I drove by a storefront window and saw my reflection while on my bike, I totally realized that I lost the battle tryin to look good, long ago...hehe
From info learned on the switchback forum, I went to lowes and picked up 4 dresser drawer ***** and screwed them into my garage wall (measured appropriately) and hang them there. $4.00 and job done (cheaper than harley's option which is just pre-measured and hd branded same solution).

Just suck in the gut, put down the visor and whizz by......no one will notice anything.
