Default 2into1 Exhaust Rinehart vs V.& H. Propipe

I am looking at getting rid of my Rinehart Crossovers and getting into a 2into1 exhaust. I would prefer Rinehart. Which pipe do you suggest and why?

Haven't heard anything about the rinehart, but hear lots of talk bout the V&H Pro Pipe. Between those I would got V&H becuase of the stepped design. Have you looked into the D&D pipes?

We have similar builds...have you dynoed your bike? Also, I didn't know that Harley make a 21"(look 21 in your sig pic) for the Slotted 6 Spoke wheels.

Bike looks great and and bet it moves, but w/ a new 2:1 you should notcie a real nice increase.

I really like the look of a pro pipe. If V+H make one a foot shorter, I will definitely get it.

Speaking for my V&H "Pro Pipe Chrome" I can say the quality is top notch.

Good sound, not too raspy or to loud but a nice mellow thump, and for my stage 1 performance upgrades it was a good mix.

Performance-wise nothing can beat Thunderheader, but it is obnoxiously loud. Louder than straight pipes.

HD Bobber-
dynoed at 92hp/113 tq. what about yours?

rims are Harleys, $450 for black and brushed(seen on my bike) and $850 for chrome. prices are pre rim.

what do you consider "a nice increase"?

There is a difference between the V&H pro pipe and their pro pipe HS
The HS is a torque monster. That is if they make a HS for your year of bike.
I can not comment on the rinehart's, never have tried them. The stepped header is a big + for the pro pipe's. I had a V&H pro pipe HS on my super glide. It gave me a lot of torque. My Bassani header broke and used it while I was waiting on my warranty replacement. The pro pipe sounds good but lesser volume than the Bassani.
Longer pipes help with TQ.. you know. Shorter pipe is for hp, upper rpm power.

A forum member on here I ride with occasionally has a Rinehart 2-1 (200-0300 I think). Sounds really nice, and looks to be good quality.

From the research I did before I changed exhausts, a good 2-1 is worth 5-7hp and 7-10lbs/ft over a decent 2-2. But I've never seen any dyno sheets to back that up.

I really like my Pro-Pipe.

The quality, fit and finish is very good. A little cleaning and it looks brand new.

The sound is tame at idle but still has a bark at speed. I'd buy another. But, don't discount the D&D pipes. They make a really good product too.

I've been running the V&H Pro Pipe for 7 years now on my Fatty. Love it. Keeps all the heat away from my short *** legs...performance is just a side benefit. Still looks nearly new.
