Default Haulen *** Backrest

The last mod of the season (as far as I know.)

The Haulen *** backrest connects to the two seat-bolt mounts and makes for a clean installation with no side plates or additional brackets. I have an email into Ed at Sick Saddles to see about covering the pad to match the seat, but it looks great just as it sits.

This bike has never had a passenger, but I'll test it out in a couple weeks. I already got my wife an Arai helmet and a riding jacket. She wants boots before she'll get on it.

I love the simplicity of the thing. I could easily fab up a tall sissy bar to replace the pad or a rack to mount on the back for extra luggage space. So far I'm very pleased with it.

I thought about that after installation. It is pretty low. My wife is a 1%er though. She might see 6 hours of ride time in a season.

If you aren't planning on running the pillion forever. .you might consider some 3M protective film cut to size under the pillion to protect the paint.

Sorry to side track but what bags are those and how do they attach? Easily on and off?

Thanks.

Looks pretty clean. I'm sure if you're doing short rides it will be enough support. If you're doing longer rides she'll probably want something taller.

Matt;
It comes with a rubber gasket that sandwiches between the bracket and the fender. Do you have experience with this not doing it's job?

Very easy on and off. They are the Viking Cruise Large Slanted Saddlebags attached with Cycle Visions Barebacks.

Forgive my video skills, but this demonstrates just how fast they can be detached and re-attached.

The gasket won't protect the fender from the sides of the pillion when your wife/luggage compresses it.

Gotcha. Thanks. I already protected the seat/fender spots.
