How was it to relocate the brake? Can you also tell me what bars you have on your bike?
Thanks,
Rear brake is really simple. You have to weld a tab on your swing arm for the brace rod. Hardest part is finding the right size spacer. The brake I have on now sucks bad as far as stopping the bike. I'm hoping to upgrade to the same type set up made by Performance Machine in the near future. When I do I'm going to replace the rotor with a nice polished stainless steel one.
I bought the bars in a kit from Hill Country Customs.
Kevin714: Really surprised you can fit a 180 wide tire on there even with the brake relocated. I can only fit a 160mm wide Avon Venom on my '02 FXDL, the FXDL & FXDWG do share the same frames. With the 160, the 1 1/8" wide belt has only about a 1/16" clearance to the tire. Did you do any mods to the pulley side as well? I can't understand how it could possibly fit otherwise.
FWIW the changes on the newer Dynas will allow for use of wider tires than what the OP's 2005 bike will allow.
