what kind of tires you thinking? Ill probably be looking to replace my rear next spring.
So far I have always replaced my tires with the same tires that came on the bike. Michelin Scorchers. I have been getting about 13K per set. I ride solo and not very aggressively.

Wow, 13K is great! I really liked those tires, if I could get that kind of wear I would use them all day long.
When I got my Low Rider it had Michelin Scorcher 31's. These were really nice, but only lasted 8 & 9.5K for the rear & front, respectively. Next I went with Dunlop American Elite tires 11 & 12K out of the rear & front. Both brands performed great, but I give the edge to the Elites because of the mileage. I'm currently running a set of Michelin Commander 3 Cruiser tires, 4K on the rear and 2K on the front so far. They are supposed to last even longer than the Elites. I've had some vibration issues ever since I did the front, and I can't completely rule out the tire. Michelin had some issues with a couple specific front tires sizes on the touring bikes, but I haven't found anything about my size, 100/90B19.
I have looked at the Metzler tires. Heard good things about them. I will explore all possible tire brands this time around.
Grateful for the rare treat of an ideal day for a ride out with friends: 64.4°F, no rain, 265 miles, just over 6 hours in the saddle, and three coffee stops. (the car was not related to us, but provided interest at our first stop)
Love that Moto G in the pic. If I was not riding a HD I may well be on a MG.

I had the Metzler ME888's on my Road King. They handled well in the wet and the dry. They had over 10k miles on them when I sold the bike and they still had plenty of tread left.
The 2014 FXDL I purchased in August 2020 came with a new Michelin on the rear but had the original front tire. I just bought a Metzler 888 for the front and hope to get it mounted this weekend.
When the back tire needs replacing it will also get a Metzler 888.
I've always run Metzler's on my 98 Fatboy, they're a decent tire and last pretty well but easy to spin the rear tire.. Wish they were a little softer compound..
I recently put a Shinko 777 on the rear of my 2013 Dyna and really like the way it hooks up.. Hardly any tire spin at all.. Infact they hook up so we'll that the front came off the ground about 18".. Totally took me by surprise.. I have about 2k on them and showing hardly any wear yet.. We'll see how long they last...

Thanks. I think this time around I will try the Metzler 888. Thought about it before but always ended up going with the Scorchers.

I am pretty sure this time around I will try the Metzlers. Has Covid impacted tire prices? Hope not.

Yes, and there's also shortages of tires. I recently went to my local dealer and purchased a set of Michelin's for the Dyna and Dunlop's for the Bagger. It was over $1,100 for the 2 sets, but when I need tires, I'll have them...I'm good for a couple of years now...

I got a Metzler 888 front tire, for my FXDI, from Revzilla for $124 (including free delivery and sales tax). The local Inde is charging me $80 for installation.
