Default Dyna Lowrider - Exhaust Options

for the new 2014 Low rider with the 2-1 exhaust, are there any options for a slip on muffler??

and if you replace just the muffler to something louder is a tune required?

Seriously thinking about trading my sporty for a new low rider, they are sweet bikes and a good price.

The only option for a slip-on at this point is the S.E. Nighstick. It's a Supertrapp made unit so it's tuneable/adjustable. This alone will cause issue with the tuning and will cause some small pops on decel and between shifts.

Sound level will be somewhat limited as there is a cat in the headpipe collector before the slip-on.

Do the trade. The LR is one sweet all-around great bike.

I am almost 100% positive the harley switchback exhaust is the same as the low rider. I measured mine on my brand new low rider (length, mount points, etc) and then went to the dealer and did the same on a new switchback. Came up exact. I'm so confident switchback slip ons will fit I just ordered one yesterday. I will be sure to post on here and let everyone know how it goes

Also, if you are considering trading from the sporty I suggest doing it. I bought a new iron 883 last year and just made the trade 2 weeks ago. I miss the look of my sportster but that's it. The low rider does everything so much better, power, ride quality, handling, comfort, 2 up riding, highway cruising, etc. Haven't found anything this bike doesn't do better except maybe turn heads. I got a ton of compliments on my iron none so far on the low rider

It's actually the same exact length. That being said it does look longer. The reason is the the way the head pipes are routed differently on the 2 bikes. The mounting bracket is elongated compared to the low rider. Everything on the low rider is moved up closer, not to mention the switchback pipe has the be mounted further back to clear the bag. Search harleys site for the night stick pipe for a switchback. Then click fitment and it lists both the switchback and 2014 low rider

yes. according to the HD site, the switch back & lowrider have the same mufflers,

http://www.harley-davidson.com/store...lip-on-muffler

pricey & nothing fancy but gets the job done. hate the look of the cover plates but good its adjustable. Hoping we would get a price break since it's 1 muffler instead of 2,, nope HD all about profit.

I have a slip on ordered for a switchback to put on my lowrider, I'll update next week when it gets here how the fitment is. $169 shipped so a lot cheaper than the SE muffler.
