Default Motorcycle Safety Foundation Course Question

I already have a cy endorsement and am taking the MSF in order to be a more informed rider and also to reduce insurance costs. My instructor says you need to have 90% and have to provide essay answers to questions on the written portion in order to pass the class. I have never heard of needing to provide essay answers to vehicle related questions. I feel like I could be wasting my time and money with this course. Can different locations have different requirements on passing the MSF course? Or is this determined by the state?

Never done anything like that all questions were multiple choice. I've done a beginner and advance MSF classes. (Mandatory for military) maybe they are just way more strict at yours

The written test in my MSF class was also multiple choice.

FWIW, my insurance company gives me discount for having taken the course.

Lost my damn card so no discounts... but used the class to skip the riding portion at the dmv.

That's strange. I took the course up in Michigan and it was just a standard mult-choice test. Really easy too.

Either he's pulling your leg or find somewhere else to go!
Written portion was multiple choice...

He wants the answers so he can cheat when he take his test.
