Ignition switch recall, anyone know what's up?

Just dropped of Lowrider for 1000 mi. service.
Was told if you raise the rev. limiter above 5500,
vibrations could cause the ing. switch to vibrate to acc. position,
and shut engine off.
Don't see how this could happen.

Would this just be the Low Rider and not other Dynas like the street Bob? I would've thought all Dynas would have this switch in common.

My bike is currently getting the 1000 mile service done. I asked about the recall and the mechanic told me that they can't do the recall right now because they don't have the replacement parts.

Theres a suprise... I just got told the same thing by GM on my recalls for my car..

They issue the recall.. but dont have the parts to fix it.. WTF?

Must be to cover for civil liability laws...
