Default Bought it yesterday - save me some time please?

I know nothing about this bike (07 fxd).

I need tires. I need to service it.

Would somebody shoot me the basics?

Thanks

Welcome to the forum.
Try using the "search" function of this forum for any specific service or mod you would like to do.
Buy a service manual for your year bike. It will be the best money spent.

As Qdog002 has already stated and for the tires try Dennis Kirk and look at the Michelin Commander II's, I think they are the best thing in the way of tires going. They ride and corner good and seem to last forever and no I'm not being paid to say that.

Sorry, but you might be better off just taking it to dealer for service...then start learning/reading the manual(s)...

I also ride a 07 fxd. At the beginning of every season I change all 3 fluids. Go around the bike with a torque wrench to check everything over. clean air filter, check clutch adjustments. Just overall basic maintenance and like 1 of the other members mentioned get a shop manual for torque specs. The manual is also a good way to get familiarized with your bike. Good luck and enjoy.

buy some tires and have your fluids checked or changed, take it one step at a time from there.
The manual is an absoloute must. "07 you may be lucky and find one used on ebay, but get the HD official manual, accept no substitutes!

Basics: It takes gas to make run, if it runs out of oil it wont run long. Flat spots on tires make the bike handle very poorly. Do yourself a favor and buy the HD service manual.
