Default Tourpack on a Switchback

Hi,
I just thought I would share the mock up of a tourpack on a rack produced by rider on another forum.
It looks pretty good, I just have to get the passengers opinion to see how I need to tweak the tourpack to fit her better.

I have the same tourpack mounted to a quick release luggage rack. I took the backrest to an upholstery shop and had them add some thicker foam and then recover it in a better quality pleather. The wife rode 7 hrs with it and no complaints (on the backrest at least lol).

I found a fella on the switchback forums that had the plates made. The tourpack was from Amazon. They only had black so i went with it. I figure I can find a one in big blue pearl later and this is my chance to experiment with what I need cheaply.
I like the comment from ndfastln about having an upholstery shop recover/add padding. My wife has already made a comment about wanting a little more padding.
Time will only tell till I get some miles on this to see how it holds up.
I am looking at rattlecan painting it this winter just to protect the abs plastic.

You can get oem paint in a rattle can. Kinda costly but less than having it painted.

I found a Harley Tour Pack at a swap meet, a little shoe polish, and mounted to a Dyna luggage rack, all worked out fine.

Looks good man! I plan on putting a quick detach chopped tour pack on my dyna and think the thinner one would look better in them. I'm almost done adapting the Switchback saddlebags mounts into FLH bags. Actually pretty easy so far and love the ability to quick detach them if I want to go rip on some curves in the hills.
