I just got the bike back today. I had Pro-One forks installed along with a 21" wheel. I had bought Custom Chrome controls but had to send back because of fitment issue. I'll be replacing the hand controls with chrome HD parts after I save enough. I also bought Adjure Beacon 1 signalsfor the front but for some reason, the load equalizer was burning up. I am not sure why. I had the kuryakyn Panacea brake kit, with signals, put on the rear. When the front signals were installed, the lights would blink erraticly, or not work at all, then the equalizer smoked. I'll have to figure that out later. Meanwhile I am riding.
When I ordered the throttle cables, I ordered stock +2" for the new handlebars. Do the cables look too long? I might need to buy new ones so they will route behind the trees. They look funny the way they are now. What do you think?
I purchased the front end from Pro-One Components last November. They were having a year end clearance sale and I just couldn't pass up on the price. Retail price on the full standard front end was $1200 and another $500 for the Missile style lowers. I bought everything needed, including forks, custom lowers, billet brake adapter for Dyna, hide away fork stop, and bearing race kit for $1,000. There is no rake on these forks. I just got back from riding, I really like them. I am going to buy shorter cables though.
