Wondering if any one has a link to the thread with a parts list to convert back to mid controls on a superglide.

I saw it a while back but can't seem to find it again.

 

Also would like the list. Trying to get all the parts before we start.

You will also find the other stuff on that website like foot pegs and etc If you are using the factory forward controls you wont need a rear master cylinder as they use the stock one and just have a extended rod to make it work.

 

I'm confused how to use the site.

Someone had all mocos part numbers listed for the conversion.

So far here are the parts I ordered. I used the primary housing diagram for the super glide custom parts finder. Got all on Ebay except mini floor boards large. Hardest part to find was shaft bushing.

Further foward controls- Include linkage bar.
Mini foot boards large-- Harley store.
Outer primary cover chrome 60764006A
shifter shaft 34621 -06
shift tube gasket 63869-06
shaft bushing 34982-02A
primary gasket 60547-06F
Primar cover engine seal 34934-06
derby cover seal 2541699K
black inner primary gasket kit 25700337

I am hoping that I can use my original inner primary. Thats why I ordered shaft bushing.

Hope some one will review this list and make suggestions . Especially if I need more parts. Hate to get the thing apart and have to order more .

Awsome can any one confirm that is all that is needed?

As I already have the wholes in primary for the mids I am guessing I only have to get the below.


shifter shaft 34621 -06
shift tube gasket 63869-06
shaft bushing 34982-02A

That doesnt seem like enough but I dont need the primary cover ect surely there is something else I need?

You lucky dog. The above parts should do it.
All you need is the midcontrols and pegs. You will still need to remove both primaries to get the shifter shaft through. What a pain for just putting in a shaft. I should be starting mine in two weeks. Will post any problems I have-- I hope not. My thinking is that the tear down won't be a problem, but getting all the pieces back and working correctly is going to be the big unknown. Especially if I am missing something.

I'm thinking I'll need the gaskets and seals to? I just saw hd do a full further forward mid control kit for $399!

How much did the parts cost you far ?
Excluding primary cover and inner primary

 

Looks like that kit is only for a sporty
