Wide Glide rear shocks?

What length are the 2014 wide glide shocks stock? Are they lowered in stock form as compared to other Dyna models?

Also, what you you safely go in length with 412 without running into bottoming out and dragging problems?

Thanks

Stock length is 12"

I have Progressive 970s (12.5" shocks) on my '13 WG and still drag pipe and pegs. But I dragged a lot more with the stock pegs when I was getting acclimated to the bike.

So, it's all in your personal preference and riding style. You can slam it down an 1" and be alright, you just have to be cognizant of your lower center of gravity and take turns a little wider...

I've got a set of 444s (12") and when set correctly, have no problem with the ride. I haven't bottomed out and not dragged, of course I'm not an aggressive rider either.

Pretty sure they are 12". Unless they made a special shock just for the WG....

if thats the case, would it be pretty safe as far as dragging and kickstand issues to run -1" or an 11" shock?

If you are willing to lose a little ride quality you will be fine. If you ride 2 up or are a really fat rob rethink function over form. Stock is 12" on my 2012.
