With all of the road construction and potholes around here lately, I've come to hate my forward controls. I just want to be able to rise up on the pegs and not take such a beating. In that light, is there a trade market for forwards to mids? My Street Bob came with factory forwards so I would need to trade inner and outer primary covers as well. Is there a market?

I just when from forwards to mids on my 2006 Sportster. Much easier switch than the BT's.

 

Lots of people think forwards are better....They're wrong but you can't fix that.
My Dyna had forwards on it when I bought and within a week I found some guy with a set of mids on his bike that wanted forwards....Half a Saturday in my garage and he had forwards and I had mids.
Put the word out in shops in your area and you'll probably get someone wanting to swap pretty quickly.

 

Yup. You're screwed when **** happens and 100% of your weight is on your tailbone.

 

I hit up my local indy on Monday. Nothing. They took my number just in case. There's not another indy near me without driving all the way to Pittsburgh.

So how about it forum members...anyone want forwards for their dyna? Offer is simple: My forwards for your mids of further forward mids, to include inner and outer covers. My outer cover is chrome, inner is black. I would like to keep it that way. Keep your derby, I keep mine. I pay to ship mine to you and vice versa.

I had it on my 2012 fatbob, but will fit yours. I had a little ditch ride jan 2018 and bent the shift lever, bottom left in picture, just a little.. i had it repaired and professionally tig welded. you wont need to remove primary covers. i found it to be a little high so made lowering brackets to drop them an inch or so.
for a fellow west virginian, how about 100$ shipped? then you can sell your forwards, thats what i did.
