Momentary power loss

i have a 2010 fxdwg. a couple weeks ago my bike died out on my on the highway a few times. turns out the negative battery cable was loose. i tightened it and everything was fine until last weekend.

when cruising the bike has started to die out momentarily. if i'm moving or at a relatively high rpm when it happens it immediately turns back on (kind felt like a backfire or dirty/watery gas at first but it's not consistent enough to be bad gas). if i'm in neutral or coming to a stop it will die out and i have to restart it (generally no problem restarting it). this has happened maybe 20 times over the course of 70 miles in two days. last time i rode it and was about to park it in the garage the rpms shot up real high at idle for a few seconds then went back down.

have read on here this could be bad battery connection or bad circuit breaker? any other suggestions on what things i should look at?

Do your dash lights, speedo, light go out?
What stays on what goes out.

not sure. my clock is still set but i'm too worried about keeping control of the bike when it happens to notice. odometer shoots towards 0, but i haven't noticed lights.

While good try to replicate the problem, wiggle the ignition switch, run switch, its not a bad idea to clean and dielectric connectors that you can get to, especially the ignition switch.
Check to see if you are getting codes, I think your bike is serial bus, so there might be a code.
Intermittent electric problems are the worst to diagnose until they get worse.
