Default Smart Siren II shot

Have a simple question I hope... My girlfriends bike.... 2007 Sportster 883XL has a Smart Siren II system on it. Bike was bought used and only had 2 FOBs and no pager. Recently any other bike parked near hers that has an alarm system would not start and go into alarm mode as well as hers. I changed the Fob batteries and did not help. After doing some looking I found that the backup battery in the siren itself was full of moisture and battery and connectors were corroded and the ground wire going into the housing was broke off. I disconnected the siren and that seems to have stopped the setting off of other bikes alarms but my question is will this hurt her bike other than trowing the open antenna code (b1145) and making the security light in the speedo stay on ? The bike starts fine now and and recognizes the fob fine. Thanks for any help!
