Default Alarm / I messed up

Good day Ladies and Gents,

I have ridden for a while, but far from knowledgeable.
Now I have messed up with my alarm system.
I have a 2001 Electra Glide, with the factory alarm system.
I have never used it and got a hair up my rump.
I put new batteries in the FOBs and engaged the alarm.
It armed and I tested it. No installed siren, the hazards flashed their pattern, and the bike did not start.
Now, it will not disarm. Neither FOB does anything. I have an owner’s manual, but have been unable to do anything to turn it off.
I have replaced the batteries, with the correct size.
No matter what I do, the bike does not react. Two quick pushes, a long press of the FOB button to get the bike and FOB interacting.
The alarm / key light flashes once every two seconds, indicating it still have the factory PIN.
And, I do not have this number.
Now, the fine folks at Harley are happy to put a new system in, but I really do not have the funds for this.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Ernie

Seems like I remember a sequence of turning the ignition switch off and on 3 times and then the left turn signal twice. But you have to do it all in two seconds?

What year bike do you have?

If you use a key fob that you actually press the button. Press the fob two times quickly to disarm the system. Bike should start. By pressing the fob one long time it turns on the system and the flashers will flash 2 time

Hope this helps. Let me know if it does not work.7

It is a 2001. I have tried pushing both FOBs twice. I have also tried pushing the FOB button for an extended period time.

I am going to pick up a different brand of battery and try that.

Yes, I am grasping at straws.

Good day Ladies and Gents sounds too much like a stolen bike for me to throw in my two cent..or maybe I already did.

No, not hot.
Have to title and registration.
I am trying to keep it light to stop from screaming.
I just put $1,500.00 for new tires, 20,000 PMS and an inner primary leak.
I was hoping to head to Washington for Rolling Thunder, but that will change if I have to pay for a new security system.

You are a suspicious person? I am also always curious about this sort of post/problem. But just in case it is legit, and the OP really has the FOBs, I would suggest the possibility that the batteries might be upside down.

Yes, check this. Plus goes down, unlike most remotes. One long press arms alarm. Double click disarms.

Plus side down

I have tried the batteries in both position, buy yes, the positive side is down.
I even tried it with the batteries backwards.
I bought both the service and owner’s manual.
The service manual stated that you do not want to disconnect anything security related, with the system armed. So I haven’t. I don’t want to dig my hole any deeper.

Couple of things. Is it near anything that may be tossing off radio interference (RFI)? Automatic doors, remote operated garage doors, cell towers, etc. Try moving the bike to another location, and then try deactivating the alarm.

From reading it sounds like the fob button has to be pressed two times very quickly. Others say that you have to replace the TSSM with a TSM if you cannot get it to disengage. Lastly there is this:
