I'm working on an 89 Softail replaced the transmission with a Jim's and about to attempt installing an electronic speedometer. Has anyone tried this yet? Can I simply hook up the sensor in the trans and plug it into the speedometer along with power and ground or do you need an ecm to run it? Dose the ecm store mileage or does the speedometer do that?
