Default 2002 RK Jump Start and now issues

So I left my battery on overnight and it died of course. The next day I jumped it off my truck. Wouldn't stay running without the jumper cables connected. Left it running for a few minutes this way and it was fine until the positive popped off and hit the frame. Sparks and crap... Pulled the cables off and started the bike and it ran fine. Problem is headlight is out and the neutral light on dash is out. They were not before. Bike runs fine and the blinkers work as do the blinker indicators in the dash. Fuses all test fine. Any ideas? Sure I shorted something out. Thanks.

P.S. My Cruise Control has not worked since I bought the bike last year.

Which positive cable, the battery cable or the jumper cable?

Did you do the simple stuff first, such as check the bulbs?

The positive side of the jumper cable. Yeah checked all the obvious. Just checked for power at the fuses and the lights and instrument fuse have no power at the plug. Also noticed the gas gauge in the gas cap is not working. So now what. UGH.

Anyone know what is between the battery and fusebox? It makes sense that something popped/fried there.

Are you reading system voltage at both sides of the fuse?

So you left the ignition ON and NOT the battery i would guess.
Leaving the ignition ON then drained the battery.
You jumped the bike from a truck but we do not know if truck was running or not.
You left cables attached but positive popped of the MOTORCYCLE battery i would guess and touched frame.
Bike is now able to start but you have NO headlight & NO neutral light.
No idea what you mean with " Also noticed the gas gauge in the gas cap is not working " .
How did you test fuse(s)?
Also, give us a clue as to year and model.

2002 Road King. Touched either the frame or the other terminal I was across the yard and saw the sparks. Truck was running. I have no headlamp or bar lamps, no tail light and in the dash the neutral light is now out. The Gas Gauge in the left non-removable gas cap is no longer reading anything. I tested the fuses with an ohm meter and there is no power to either lead of the fuse socket for the dash or headlamp fuses. Everything else appears to be working. Blinkers and all. Thanks

I doubt if you burned up the wiring. You would have smelled it. Try replacing the fuse. Also check the bulbs.

Thanks guys but just to reiterate first thing I checked was the fuses. There is no power to the Dash or Lights fuses on either side of the fuse socket. Yes I have checked the bulbs also but there is no power going through the fuses so the bulbs won't work.
