Eliminating stock tailight with HD chopped fender kit (Module 68278-07)
2014 Iron 883XL.
Trying to eliminate the stock taillight, and convert the stock signal bulbs into dual filament stop/turn units. I bought the HD chopped fender kit with the 'apparent' plug and play module(Module 68278-07), so I can keep things neat if I ever wanted to put the original fender on.
The instructions state that I need to unplug the current lightings connectors back at the main wiring harness at the 6 pin connector 7A... However, trying to trace this harness, this 7A doesnt seem to bloody exist!
Help option 1.
I don't have the service manual. If someone could please post me the page/s that show where connector.
Help option 2.
I've read in a couple spots now that the 2014 Iron models have different light wiring than other sportster models. So perhaps connector 7A doesn't exist on it?? If so, if someone has the wiring diagram showing me which wire is what so I can hardwire the kits module in if needed. (The wire colors on the 6 pin connector on the module in the kit do not match the colors on 6 pin connector on the stock bike connector)
Any help would really be appreciated folks. Dying to get back out cracking the throttle!
Pin 3 on the module is doubled up with 2 blue wires
(Module 68278-07)

Ya think? That might be why I asked for info to help me resolve the same issue. Fortunatey I was able to figure it out with the help of an HD service tech. I'm gonna go the extra mile here and share what I discovered so that this post has actual value.
My, and likely all, 2014 Sportster XP1200C have what is called a Body Control Module or BCM. Probably 883's too, but I could be wrong on both counts. Bikes with a BCM do not need to use the adapter module that comes with the kit. Install the tail light wiring from the kit onto the fender as described in the instructions. Install the crimp on terminals and plugs/sockets, then connect them to the matching plugs/sockets that are already on the bikes wiring harness. You will only need the two plugs that used to be for the turn signals. You will now have running lights, turn signals, and hazzard flashers, but... you will NOT have brake lights! The BCM needs to be reprogrammed at the dealer to get the brale lights to work. I was told by my local dealer service dept that it's a 1/2 hour labor charge and takes just a few minutes.
