Default Lights Going Dim

i just got a 2009 rocker c with 14000 miles . i rode it to work this morning when it was still dark and my headlight and all the lights go from bright to dim every few seconds , likes its going from 12 volt to 6 volts and back to 12 volt over and over all the way to work ,no engine light or any trouble lights are coming . anyone have a idea what it may be doing this ? thanks norman

Stator or voltage regulator shitting out on you. Troubleshoot the VR first.

First charge the battery and have it load tested.

Clean all battery cable connections.

Once these are good, then you can troubleshoot the charging system.

A battery that drops below 9.5 v starting is not considered good.
Do what Dan suggested and charge the battery and get it tested.
