Default 1988 Sportster no spark

I took my whole bike apart and welded a hardtail on, and now its time to try and fire it up and get to riding. Everything is hooked up and wired the way it should be for the most part, but I have no spark. The engine cranks great with no issues. Just no spark.

I have a hot 12v wire running straight to the battery on the white wire of the coil, but from what I've seen on the forums the pink wire is the signal for the coil? Where should I run this wire? I deleted all the factory handlebar controls and just have a push button start wired up. The key and ignition are still on the bike however.

Any help is appreciated.
