I'm trying to wire a new pair of ape hangers on my 2002 sportster xl1200c. I cannot locate any fuses nor find a wiring diagrams on line. can anyone help me find what i need? i have done nothing more than simply extending the wires to go through the bars but am having issues with the turnsignals coming on but not flashing, the brake light doesnt work but the tail light does, the horn does not work, but the headlight works (both low and high beams), as well as the on off switch and starter button.

 

They can be found in the Factory Service Manual. I know that's not the answer you were looking for, but, they really are a great investment.

There is a website I recall seeing a number of manuals, for free download, but I cannot remember the URL.

There is also an electrical diagnostics manual.

When working on our bike we should all buy the FSM, before picking up any tools! As for on-line manuals, they are illegal and break copywrite, it is also against HDF rules to promote them - we all signed up to that when we joined!

 

You should be able to go to the HD web sight, provide a VIN for the bike and download the owners manual and wiring diagram.
