Default Truck Lite Connector Issue

Just bought a TL LED for my 2007 Road King. When I went to plug it into the stock OEM harness, it was a tight fit. Knowing it was a perfect match, I continued to try to seat the connector with the harness. What happened next surprised me. The contacts on BOTH the red and white wires (outside wires) on the TL push out the back of the TL connector. I tried to reinsert them, but they wouldn't "lock" in. So I couldn't get the two connectors mated without the TL contacts popping out the back. After all the good things I've heard about the TL, this really surprised me. Has anyone else experienced this? Did you resolve it or get a replacement?

Sounds like there was a problem with that connector for the start. Get a replacement.

I agree. I sent it back for a refund. Now I'm a bit concerned about getting another Truck Lite. Hmmm....

Truck Light is a known and trusted brand used by many in the motorcycle and automotive world. Everyone has a bad day every once in a while.

Agreed. So I ordered another one after returning the first. Here's hoping!

Got my replacement TL installed today. This one came with dielectric grease. The first one didn't. I used it. It was still a tight fit with the OEM harness but it connected. It looks good. Unfortunately, I did the install at midday so I have to wait until twilight to align and test.
