Looking to replace the headlight on my FLD (7" headlight) to one of the following 2 choices (I know there are lot of cheaper ones out there.....not interested). Of the 2 choices, which do you recommend and why? Also, is a different headlamp/nacelle ring necessary?

I also am looking at lights and was interested in these two lights as well, however I noticed the Trucklight HI has no low beam. I like the 8000 Lumens, but would probably get a nasty ticket from the first officer I blind with that many lumens. The JW was not enough lumens and I felt I might as well stick with the stock, so I'm still looking. I also hear some of these cause radio interference so that is a small concern as well. I hope someone comments with some other ideas, I'll keep watching. Thanks...

 

I went with the drop in bulb replacement LED from OPT-7. The bulb is good the only oddity is that your high and low beam point at the same location with different intensities.

 

I just replaced my trucklite with the JW.. Other than looks, the main difference between the two is, the trucklite is harder to see in the daytime unless you are directly in front of it. As far as nighttime visibility goes, the JW is better but not by much. The TL doesn't require a different trim ring, however, without it the headlight sticks out a little past the OEM one and looks a little weird. The JW requires a different mounting ring or modification to the OEM (in 2013 and older I believe). I modified mine and it fit perfect and no protrusion like the TL. The only reason I replaced the trucklite is because I got the JW free. Neither one caused any radio interference. The two pics on the left are of the TL. The two on the right are the JW
