How bad can exposure to Florida weather be on a bike?
I have a 2016 HD Trike sitting in the sun and rain for a year waiting to have the head gasket replaced by a mechanic. How will the rain and sun affect the wiring and upholstery of the bike?
I lived in the Key's for over 30 years and had bikes. The sun is tuff on the paint and upholstery for sure .. The Salt air was terrible on chrome and fasteners.. I purchased an F150 in 1999 and started right away using a product called Liquid Glass We still have the truck and the paint still looks new, those Florida bikes are long gone but still looked good when I sold them ..
If it will be sitting for a year you better keep it covered. Even still, expect the chrome to need a good polish, and there may be some pitting. That's a long time to neglect it. Rust never sleeps.
It can fk up a paint job and the chrome PDQ. Salt, sand, sun etc are not good at all for finished surfaces, just look at all the dead paint on vehicles in the state.
Come to think of it, florida aint good for a dam thing anymore.

if you want it to be worth a damn you better runout and get a cover or Home Depot and buy some of that clear plastic tarp and wrap it up
May be way off base here, but bike care is in the manual, and who makes enough to afford an almost new trike, but isn't sure if leaving it in the Florida elements will damage anything?????
