Battery fuse and block on 2000 FXST
Good day to all,
I went to start my 2000 Springer , no start and the bike acted like a loose cable. Took off seat and cables are tight, checked the fuses, particularly the one labeled, "battery", pulled it out and saw that there was NO wire/connection on one end where the fuse is suppose to seat into. Took out fuse block and saw that there is no wire in the block, where one fuse is suppose to contact a wire, now I'm sure that the fuse does have one connection to go into and the other doesn't just go "into space" . After work, I'm going to go back and see if that particular wire vibrated out and, I'm guessing it may be the ground wire. Anyway, any comments will help.

The wiring diagram shows an unused fuse, power wire goes to it, but no wire coming out...
By the way, there is no ground wire on a fuse, the ground wire is on the component being powered, or the component is grounded by mounting it to a location that is grounded.

Battery fuse and block on 2000 FXST (cont.)
Ok, so this is what I've done, I took off the tank, took out a multimeter and saw that there is power to middle wire (off position), but nothing to the other positions ( left and right of off position). So got out the manual and it said that the ignition was not repairable. I took it out and saw a little spring clip and me, being an old "mechanic", figured if the Harley gods didn't want any one in there, it wouldn't have it, so I took it apart and tried to cleaned it all up. I took the plastic connector off so I could check the voltage. Checked again and have power at middle wire. So put the ignition back together and placed the wires back into the switch. Turned to the left and it shows some power to the speedo, but not the correct mileage and turned to the right to start, but nothing. So I'm guessing, a bad ignition switch. Don't know, I'm going to the Harley dealer to get robbed and buy a starter relay/circuit breaker. Maybe even the ignition switch. Thanks for the help.
