Default Add-on riding - fog light questions

Although I am sure someone somewhere has asked the same following questions, searched and was unable to find answers.

On 2015 Limited, have outridden the available light on several occasions in dark on winding roads. Want to increase available light, primarily for vision.
Not the cheapest parts but would like to get it right first time

Anyone have any comments on:
- Custom Dynamics Cool Magic Billet LED Driving Lights,
- Motolights
any other brands?

How they may compare to each other.
Am wanting to mount them on brake calipers
I prefer LED and would probably wire to an existing 'acc' switch for simple on/off control. If low draw LED they probably do not need relay?

Any feedback, experiences, goods/bads or ideas greatly appreciated.

Different bike, but I have the hi/lo rigid D2's wired to my high and low beam circuits respectively with a relay. Tons of extra light in the dark.

sbarron . Did not know of these lights. Pretty keen on mounting on brake calipers but is all food for thought. Appreciate the info and pic. Out of curiosity, how did you mount them?

They're bolted to a piece of angle iron that is bolted to the headlight mounting bolt. Easy-peasy. The spacing was the only hard part as its a pretty tight fit.

Before you add extra lights, what are your current headlights? There are some pretty wonderful aftermarket replacements available. Try an upgrade of them first. I have three Trucklites, but confess I don't ride with them at night enough to say they are the bee's knees!

all three are daymaker. I like the light but they have limitations, have seen LEO bikes with the LED moto lights mounted on front brake calipers and like the outcome and light they provide, that's why I was going that way. Think I am going to try cool running LED driving lights mounted on brake calipers.
Want to also see if I can get passing lights fixed so I can have them on for low and high

Take a look at Clearwater Darla product. I don't have them, but the guys I ride with do - and they are bright. Not cheap...

You sir are correct! Clearwater is top notch when it comes to accessory lighting. Pricey but well worth it....

Here is a set of Darla's on my 15RGS with the front fork mount setup
