2013 street glide. custom dynamics bulbs front and rear. led light bars on rear between bag and fender. return from trip and I have no right rear turn signal or brake light. running lights work. left side all work. right front works, but nothing on right rear. will the custom dynamics module take a crap and affect only one light? any thoughts or suggestions? wiring looks ok, but then haven't dug too far into that. suggestions??

 

Sent Custom Dynamics an email asking about this issue. about 15 minutes later I got a phone call from them! We talked about the issue, he gave me some things to check. so tomorrow morning i'll get into that. not tonight, having back issues and my back is feeling crappy and I'm not feeling like getting underneath again. Kudo's to CD for the call back. Now if I can check the things he suggested, might find the problem. sounds like a wiring issue.... yuk

 

well it appears I have a bad tribar unit. Local dealer did not have replacement stock unit, so I ordered one from Custom Dynamics. Expect to see that early next week. i'll be back with a report on that once I receive and install.

 

Well let's end this story. The tribar was ok.... it ended up being the wiring from the tribar to the tail light bar. I installed plasma rods and used the supplied posi-tap connectors. I think these had weakened the wiring over time and the wires eventually lost connection. Plus all the tugging, moving, pulling I did checking things out, did not help. I replaced the tribar with a CD unit, which did not resolve the issue. Then determined the wire to the real light was bad and replaced the unit. Ran the plasma rods up front to the CD supplied Smart Triple Play unit and hooked up there.
All is well. I wish Harley would use a bit stouter wires in some of their applications!!
