well still having issue with exact cross so i suggest the following.
try a universal diode and it may cover the application, i will post a link. since this seems to be a switching diode the worst that can happen is the diode fails, since it is not a zener, the only drop would be forward bias of .6 volts and no regulation, it is on/off. without knowing the circuit it would be to bias it on or to clamp reverse current, common on relay circuits to bleed the spike to ground to ensure rapid current bleed off.

I have the same problem with my right hand control module board ...
im lucky and have another sportster just like it and took the right hand control module apart and got the numbers off it ...
it says 21 at the bottom and L43 across the middle and VK at the top of that component ...
can anyone please tell me what it is and where to get a new one ?

here i took a few pictures cause it hard to explain but maybe if you see the pictures it will help
i drew a picture of what the component looks like before it was burnt it says 21 L43 VK
i did a google search for just that and nothing comes of but something about Russian tanks lol
please someone help point me in the right directions
what is it ? and where can i get one ?

well, this isn't the same mfg (VK) but these are the spec's

Excellent work guys. Looks to be a BAT54C common cathode dual 1n4148 diode. (marking L43).

Great work, mine also went up in fumes, I decides to get rid of canbus on my switches using this, will install it this week - seems to be great. Tried to get a new switch from HD and its everywhere on backorder beside the steep price.

So, how did @a.coimbra get along? Did he fix it? BTw...its very difficult to remove/replace components on SMT boards, without specialized equipment…especially if they are multi layer.

Certainly more difficult with this:
