Default LED bulbs

Hi I have a 2012 FXDC super glide custom.
I was wondering if I can go with LED bulbs in the turn signals and in the brake light with out problems?
I don`t want to change the stock signals just the bulb.
And what bulbs will fit? I got a couple and no way they will go in.
Any input will be a big help.
Thanks
Ron

DK Customs or you can use a Dremel to enlarge the leading edge of the reflector.
The way the bulb is built it doesn't taper where the glass meets the socket so it won't go it far enough to turn and lock in.
It's really simple, remove about a 1/16th" in about an 1/8th". It's plastic.

Hi
I didn`t think of that at all. Id like to find bulbs before I go and grind them out.
I will keep that in mind.
Thanks Ranger73

They do make LED bulbs shaped exactly like a 1157/1156, but VERY hard to find.
They had them at Superbright LED but they've been discontinued.

Check TA/Petro or Pilot/Flying J truck stops. I was looking at 1157, 1156, and 3157 led's at TA this week $22 US.
I've been looking at these for my 09 Police Electra Glide. but waiting until I pull the winter cover off.

Go to Amazon and search for "1157 led bulb" - you'll find tons of them.

Wink

Take care with LED replacement bulbs, as many of them are much larger than the bulbs they claim to replace. Visiting Walmart with each of your bulbs in your hand is a darned good idea!

I would love led H3 bulbs for my H-D oval fogs, but haven't found any yet - everything is much bigger than a stock H3. This is a typical problem:
