I've got an 07 EGC with a TMAX ecu. I bought the bike used with 10000 miles on it. The first time I went about 10000 feet on a trip through Colorado, the Neutral light would start to glow even slowly go on and off. At times the security light would come on. Sometimes the the Tach and Speedo would go dead but that hasn't happened since I changed to a GEN III Tmax. I bring this up because I just got back from a 1300 mile trip up to Sacramento / Lake Tahoe area and the neutral light / security light started doing the same thing. This time at anything above about 8000 feet (have a GPS for elevation).

I figure there is something wrong with the TSSM or possibly the speedo but the bike continues to run. Bad neutral switch and security light is saying error code? Bike now has 87000 miles on it. I don't see the error often as local mountains are only 6500 feet high.

Anyone else seen this?

 

I think I found it.. Has a historic code B1155.

B1155 Neutral Switch Input Short to Battery

The neutral switch looks to be doing things at altitude. Maybe a plugged tranny vent. Definitely weird.
