Time For A Battery
 

My 14 SG still has the OEM battery , it was sold new in early fall of 2013 so I'm at 5 years + and it's not showing a strong 14volts on my gauge when I turn it on the last week or so, under 13volts , never seen it display less than 14volts when I turn it on.

Pulled the tender off this morning and checked it with a meter , 14.5vdc https://www.harley-davidsonforums.co...ies/cooltu.gif,

Then I turned the switch on and it dropped to 12.5vdc just powering it on

Hit the starter and it dropped below 9volts https://www.harley-davidsonforums.co...milies/eek.gif


It still starts but I'm not waiting till it leaves me stranded somewhere like on my trip next weekend so I came in and ordered this right away. I had the local power-sports store quote me $261 for this same battery , told them to pound sand. Haven't found a better price if your looking to replace yours.

I went to Batteries+ and got a Duracell one for about $100.

This battery really spins my 103 HO over better than it ever has , the OEM seemed to almost stall out trying to crank it over , 500 CCA gives it a little boost.

just real quick, which battery is this battery?

It's even cheaper now than the $139.00 I paid 12 days ago . . . . .

got a 600cca 32Ahr battery for about $140......spins it over great!!
