Wiring a LED headlights with turn signals, canbus
Hello riders! I bought this LED headlight with integrated turn signals for my 2014 fxdb after seeing it installed on a 2016 fatbob. I have limited experience with the canbus and wanted to wire this up thinking it'd be easy but after a little research I see it's not cut and dry. The light plugs in like normal than has 3 wires separated for each signal and the drl. My questions are after cutting the old signal wires at the light, do I just run the new ones from the connectors in the frame to the headlight? Leaving the old wires in the handlebars? Can I cut and use the old wires?

interesting light but i have a few ?'s
does it have a DOT FED approval number
does your state regulate separation between lights?
do you have more info so it can be researched
right off without looking at a schematic, usually better to just use factory wires. your issue will be if the new lamp is not can compliant, it will set off codes so a little trickery maybe involved to fool the bcm.
without seeing what info the mfg says and comparing to a schematic, would be hard to say yea/ney

There's a DOT stamp on the lense. I don't know if the state regulates the seperasepation of the lights, actually I didn't know that was a thing. I don't have much more info on the light. I was planning on cutting the wires at the light and running them to the headlight but I can't. I can, maybe cut them before the switch and pull them through the bars and use that. I'm not sure if that works that way though.
