Fuse Starting the Altenator
Hello All, I have a conundrum: I replaced my battery after trickle charging, set the positive then the negative terminals. I had taken out the main fuse to work on the bike (40 for the roadster). When I reinsert the main fuse, however, the alternator starts to kick in as though I was hitting the ignition. The keys are not in the ignition however, or even on the bike. Any ideas what might be going on here? |
Are you confusing a fuse with a relay?

You need to explain what you mean by this, it makes no sense...
when I insert the yellow fuse the bike start clicking like it does when you hit the ignition, or when your battery is too weak to start the engine. |
Unhook the wires at the start solenoid and see if it was THAT solenoid clicking
|
Maybe the relay clicking issue is what killed the battery |
Well, you either pinched the start wire to ground OR
HEY, what's that black wire with the open eyelet doing? It's not connected to anything. |
