ok so my 2011 road glide ultra model finally needs a battery ….. happy with the life of it .
This is my first "new" bike had shovels and standards , evo etc in past - all simple and carbs
is there anything I need to know about post installing battery?
? security stuff ? or will it reset itself (it should!) and away I go?

Just when you are ready have the new battery around,, do not unhook and leave for days!! Put the new battery in and all items will remember and even PIN for FOB lockout should remain.

 

Hi from the UK and welcome to HDF. Check your owners manual! If you don't have one (just where do they all end up?!) you can download one from the H-D website, just go to the Owners tab. I recently replaced the battery on my 2011 Sportster and the manual told me all I needed to know.

 

From a security standpoint wiping the security code by dis-connecting the battery would be just too easy for the bad guys, eh?
