Default Accessory fuse keeps blowing

I have a 2012 Tri Glide (FLHTCUTG) and my accessory 15 amp fuse keeps blowing after I start the trike. Even if I put a 20 amp fuse in the block......looking for some help. There is no other issues with the trike other than that. Thank you in advance.

Don’t ever put in a larger fuse.

What do you have connected to the aux circuit?
Does the fuse blow if you/just turn on the ignition?
What do you have connected to the aux circuit!

TriGeezer,

I am not sure what is all hooked up to it. I started having this issue about a week after the dealer installed a new radio. I still have to pull off the fairing to see if there is a pinched wire. The fuse only blows after a little bit after starting. It can sit for hours with the ignition on without blowing the fuse.

Take it back to the dealer, let them fix their F-up ( I know, easier said then done).

But I would be pulling everything apart to find out what the problem is, just wouldn't tell the dealer what I found until they either attempted to charge me for it or owned up to it.
It would also tell you the integrity of the dealer.

Thumbs up

I agree - have a quiet word with the service manager and get him to fix it.

Putting a 20A fuse in a 15A circuit is just asking for problems.

If it only happens when running and not sitting, it could very well be a wire shorting out under vibration. Also, as others have said, never just install a larger fuse - that's just asking fo worse problems.

Take it back to the dealer.

The main accessory connector is right in front of the battery. Check to see if anything is connected to it. If there is, disconnect it. If it doesn’t blow the fuse anymore, it’s something added to it.
