Default No idea what this is... help please

So bike had been running fine. I pulled my tank and was going to check wires and hoses for potential weak points and found this. Its definitely blown, and I have no clue what it is. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys.

I had to replace the regulator because it was over charging burnt up a battery and burnt out my brights. So I think the blow out may have happened then.

Could be a module for HID headlight- or maybe a module for rear run/brake light? It doesnt look factory..... any markings on it at all? You could follow the wires to where they terminate to get a better idea of the function.

Follow the wires and see where they are connected, what color wires (on the main harness) does the gizmo tie into?

No markings or numbers at all. Three wires. The black wire ties in with gounds. Brown wire ties in with three brown wires leading to instrument lights, right front turn signal, and an unused female plug. Blue wire ties into 3 purple wires leading to instrument lights, left front turn signal, and the same unused female plug. Talk about a pain the wires are almost all over sprayed black. That made tracing the wires a pain. Thanks for being patient all.
