Switching Road King headlight nacelle

That nacelle isn't plastic, it's metal. At any rate, EBAY is full of chrome headlight nacelles and some guys like me prefer the black ones. I'd post up in the WTT (Want To Trade) section and you might get what you want for shipping provided yours isn't beat up.
Anyway, the swap isn't difficult. It's basically two halves held on by the 4 windshield studs. The one trick the book won't tell you is leave the nut on the underside of the handlebar clamp cover and slide it forward between the two halves once they're loose. I know it doesn't make sense now but it will. The headlight bucket and trim spear all have to come off as well. You'll need a very thin 9/16ths wrench for the two switches so you can R&R them.
Going thru all this, you should seriously consider your handlebars and riser bushings. Poly riser bushings are cheap, easy to install and firm up steering feel. This is also the time for different bars if you want to change.
