Road 6 customs model A vertical license install on 2011 dyna wideglide
Hi,
I have a 2011 dyna wideglide. I'd like some DIY help from the group on wiring up a road 6 customs vertical license plate model A stop light. My ride has the all in one stop/turn/running lights with horizontal license plate. . I'm removing the turn signals completely and running just the running/stop light on the vertical license plate. Not sure any wideglide members have tried this mod but I'm hopeful many have. Thanks in advance!!

Hi dynawide74, i have change my plate to for a Kuryakyn kit on swingarm and used the original plug from the tail light (under the seat plug) to by-pass the light and also switch to the under mount tail light from Harley.
Problem i have now is the service light in the speedo (red led) is always on because the original tail light had some electronic circuit board and now sends a signal that i have a burned light in the back ..... my guess as per what my dealer said with the code in the ECM.
So, if you make the changes, i would recommend passing your wire on the lower left side of the swingarm and using the lower belt guard screws to hold the harness with some rubber fixing clamps. As for the harness and plugs, here is the wiring diagram :
That should help you out
