Charging system bad? I dont know
 

1999 1200c sportster
aftermarket alarm installed


I installed a new battery as of 2 weeks ago. the battery is reading between 12.2-12.5 by itself. I still need to charge the battery real good to get the 12.5-13 volts. when I start the bike and check the volts it only reads 11.9 volts.

is this bad? is there something wrong with my charging system?
