Recently bought a 95 Ultra with Rinehart true duals and didn't care for the sound under moderate to heavy throttle. After seeing the price ( I'm a cheap bastard) and unhappy reviews on "quiet baffles" I decided to modify mine.

Pulled them out and made four of these cuts 90 deg. apart and staggered with a grinder/cutting wheel.



Bent the "tabs" inward.


This directs the exhaust gases out around the baffle and forces it to come back through the smaller holes in the side of the baffle before exiting.


This makes for a tunable baffle, as you can bend the tabs in further or not as far to direct more or less gases through them. It quiets the bark down and actually (in my case) improved low end torque.
