Default Cam or bore to 103"?

Have a 96" in my 2009 NT with pipes, intake and power commander autotuner. Wondering if I should throw a cam in there, or bore it to 103" with high compression pistons and 103" heads.

Default don't waste your time..

If I was you, I wouldn't bother with the 103" build, go straight to the 107" build and get it done by Scott at Hillside, He's right there in Munnsville. Check this thread

He quoted a great price w/cams......

As the others have said, you have the answer right on your doorstep! Give Scott at Hillside a call and tell him we sent you - if he doesn't chip in here soon.

Happy to lend a hand.
107" kits sale-priced now, with either S&S .570's or .585's E-Z Starts.
Pain-free, at-home assembly, or we can do it here.
Scott

Well, any work will be done by me. I work at Performance HD, Scott. I've torn into engines for head gaskets and rocker gaskets. The rest they have me do are services and new bike preps. Still new to bikes and performance mods, but I have tons of tools and exceptional mechanical abilities. Have rebuilt car motors/trannies/differentials while I was in school. The reason I asked between the two specifically was that money is an issue right now, and I have access to stock take off parts in our bunker. I can trade my heads in for 103 heads with ACR ports, and buy new pistons and all other needed parts for less than $400. Same goes for everything needed to do a cam in my bike.

In that case, cc and surface the head to establish 10.0 cr with the use of a .030" Cometic head gasket, and install an S&S .570.
Amazing gain on the cheap.
Then, have it professionally tuned at either Thayers Sales & Service, in Corfu, NY, or at Joe's Cycle Repair, in Mechanicville, NY.
BUT, something to consider is that our 107"s come in at 10.0 cr with a flatop piston/.040" head gasket, under the advertised 85cc OEM chamber.
After you are bit with that power, we can then set you up with a set of our heads at a later date, as the budget allows.
