Please tell me what you see....I don't like what I'm seeing on the treads...or am I wrong? When I took it out it was snug....felt like it was not too tight and not loose at all.
It's out of a Revtech 125" with about 200 miles on it. It's from the rear cylinder and it's back firing like crazy.
looks like its got oil on it,but dosnt look fouled.with 200 miles the rings very well just may not be seated.make sure your jetting is right, put some more miles on it and check them again
Is that the right plug, it seem to have a lot of threads sticking into the chamber.
When is it backfiring?
Does the other look like this?
Have you checked for a vacume leak?
Carb, fuel injected, who tuned it?

Did you seat the ring on a dyno,The rings should be seated with 200 miles on it.You have the ring gaps right.
[QUOTE=Harleycruiser;14066962]Is that the right plug, it seem to have a lot of threads sticking into the chamber. Yes....it's the plug from the rear cylinder.
When is it backfiring? At deceleration and at idle sometimes.
Does the other look like this? No......to me the other looks good.
Have you checked for a vacume leak? Don't know how to do that.
Carb, fuel injected, who tuned it?[/QUOTE Carb & don't know
This May explain why I know little about it:https://www.hdforums.com/forum/off-t...swered-it.html
No need to do a vacume check on that.
That is a de-exceleration crackle, deciple pop, not as serious as a backfire through the carb.
I see drag pipes in the other thread, this is more common with them, make sure they are tight at the head.
You might want to try a quarter-half turn out on the idle jet.
Is the backfire at idle when you give it gas or just sitting?
And is it out the carb?

Ok...I'll check when I get home.

Would the idle jet be this
Is the backfire at idle when you give it gas or just sitting? When I give it gas.
And is it out the carb? No
