Default Belt drive primary question

I have a 3" belt primary on an Evo Softail. I'm considering losing the dome cover from the clutch and I'm curious if running the clutch open like that is harmful. I don't live in an overly dusty environment and I've seen it done on other HDs. This one's a daily rider though and I don't want to risk long-term damage. Any advice is welcome.

I haven't had a problem with mine. But anythings possible. Better safe then sorry. I recently installed my outer cover. Now that I have the bugs worked out

Probably like wearing a condom in unchartered waters.

Popped the cover off and cleaned everything up a bit. Reckon I'll run it like this for a while.....
Thanks for the input, more is always welcome.

That's not that bad. I used to run mine like this. I can't say I never got my pant caught. Never ripped them or got hurt. Luckily. It happend when I was backing up with the bike running.
