Default Worn lifter bores

I have a friend with a 2000 flh and the lifter bores are worn and making noise. What are the options to fix this?

How did you come to the conclusion that the lifter bores are worn out of spec?

Because the lifters are loose in the bore and the bores are scored.

Tman offers lifter bore honing and plus size lifters, other shops may have similar services.

I'm not sure it was measured, I think he noticed side to side movement and a noisy valve train.

Lifter fit in block are loose fit at .0008 to .002 which is truly not much clearance and actually important for oil pressure. All that oil in that area amazes me they would wear much let alone groove. If you do not have measuring tools, stick a 1/4 wide strip of note book paper beside it and see if lifter will shake. However, if grooved, that will let oil not go thru lifter and up thru push rod but escape around and drop back into cam galley. Lifter will not pump and surely starve rockers up in the head.
