Default Andrews 48 cams

This is a question related to using this cam in a 96.

Background :
2010 RoadGlide Custom, bike is outfitted as an ultra with tour pak and lowers. Rider weights 250, 99.5% 1 up all the time. Rider runs in the 2500 to 3500 rpm range with most shifts at 4k.

Acquiring the cams:
Helped a guy do a big bore 106 on his otherwise stage 2, 96 ultra. He replaced his Andrews 48 cams with S&S stuff, easy start cams S&S cylinders, cam plate etc.

For helping him, he for lack of a better description gave me his stock cam plate with the 48 cams still installed.

So, im a fan of woods cam and i know they are manufactured by Andrews.

Never avoided an Andrews cam for any real reason other than liked woods.

Question
So, i have a stage 1 96 in this road glide.
Bike has chisel air cleaner, s&s true duals and python 3.5 muffler and a PCV .

Bike runs ok, but since i have these free cams thinking of installing them on the cheap.

I have a new set of lifters sitting at home that i took out of 120r at 122 miles, a gasket set with cam bearings is 35 bucks and i have a set of adjustable pushrods without tubes, so i would just need to work out how to deal with adjustment or buy tubes.

Looking for opinions, yeah i know, lots of cams out there but these are free, i got new lifters, even though they are SE. Cam spec dont call for anything other than stock springs.

Think this will give my roadglide a little more torque down low?

Do i need to consider anything else?

I checked the dynojet website, no maps even close to andrews 48, so wil need a map or a dyno. For sure, just want to do this once on this bike.

The 48 is a great cam in that 96" engine.
You should see at/near 90 hp, and at/near 100 ft/lbs.

Andrews 48's are great cams for a 96. Lots more torque and power in the range you ride. They come on strong just off idle with great low to mid range power/torque. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Specs are very close to Woods 555 cams.

At a 29 degree intake closing number, the 48 is better suited for a 96" OE compression than the Wood 555 at 41 degrees, but the Wood cam does work well once compression is introduced.

Actually...I meant to say Woods 222 cams. The people at Hillside know what they are talking about.

And the 222 is in fact a very good cam in that plug/play application.
Very similar results to the 48.
