Just the right person to ask! I have a 2016 low rider with 120R motor. It has 5400 miles on it. At 1999 miles they discovered a anti rotation pin in the push rods was put in backwards and it sheered and fragments got into the motor casing and oil pump. They replaced oil pump and lower engine casing and everything else was ok. However since the repair dec. 2016I rode it in 2017 with no issues. never noticed any unusual anomalies. However it has sat in garage all winter since oct and I have started it once couple weeks for few minutes. But Friday I tried to start the engine but the starter would not turn it over enough even though it had a trickle charger on it. It has sat in cold temps including zero a few nights. But yesterday I hooked the charger up to it and started it and it started fine and ran fine. Today 1/28 I started it and warmed it up and rode around my neighborhood and it got nice and warm. Then pulled it in garage and checked oil and it was 1/4" above the add oil line. Normally it is on the half full or more on the oil dip stick. It has never used oil but I never check it either. But last time I checked it before winter it was half way mark, So its down a little but not at the add oil line. My concern is do I have a oil burn problem and is it possible rings because I do not see it smoking at all.But I stick my finger in the exhaust and there is black smoky and when I rub finger in it it is black film but not wet black like blow by oil. So does a 120R use a little oil . its been ok for 3400 miles, Thoughts???
