Default Twin Cam 88" build-Cam questions

Currently building up my 2006 TC 88", currently has a S&S cam plate and oil pump upgrade to replace the stock tensioners and increase oil flow, my question is when ordering my cam, do i order a cam that is for a 96" TC motor since i upgraded the cam plate to the 07+ oil pump and plate?

DF is right.

The inner cam journal on a TC88 is smaller than the inner cam journal on 2007 and up (Dynas got it in 06).

Sure it is. Don't confuse the guy.

It's a 2006 TC88 in a touring model. As I said, the inner cam journals are smaller than the inner cam journals on an 07 and up bike. He needs conversion cams.

I'd use an Andrews 21.

I went with Andrews 26N conversion cams and am happy with the results.

What are your performance goals?

What exhaust are you running?

A/C?

Tuner?

I was looking for more torque in the bottom to mid-range. I went with the cams mentioned above, SE A/C, TTS Mastertuner and a V&H Pro Pipe. If it ever stops raining in Northern California, I plan to have a proper dyno tune done.

Lot's of good advice on this forum.

S&S 509 is probably the best bolt in choice for a stock or Stage ! TC88. Valve springs are limited to .510" lift by the MoCo but .525" is commonly done.
