Screamin' EagleŽ Pro Crankcase Set
...why not?
As I understand it the twin cooling is all in the heads and radiator system in the lower fairings, but Harley is very specific for a lot of parts not to be used. Is there actually any difference in the engine or cylinder stud length/ spacing?
The SE case is bored to a 4.060 spigot...which is for the 120ST/R and have never been compression or fitment matched to the 103/110 wet heads and therefore not supported or endorsed by any form of HD warrantee.
My thought is this is more of a 'buyer beware' disclaimer and actually may work very well if bored to a 4.125" as a 117" or cranked to a 124"...while still a wet head (piston compression not withstanding).
...again this is all my assumption (you know that that gets ya) and subject to any feedback or factual inputs.
Anybody have any hard facts as to why this would not work?
Wondering though
id like to get some cases to build a 113 or 117 Twin Cooled
24601-10B: *does not fit Twin-Cooled (TM) models
I Like the S&S cases but dont really want to do the external oil lines
Probably use a S&S crank though
and a S&S big bore kit
I bet they will work
??
Thanks
